The rooms are wonderful—spotlessly clean and cozy, with fresh, soft towels provided daily. Each room has its own theme, thoughtfully decorated with attention to detail. I stayed in the Pheasant Room, complete with some cool pheasant decorations and a beautiful, large, comfortable bed. The pub also boasts a lovely garden and ample parking space. I can't recommend staying here enough if you're in the area!

I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at this beautiful pub. My room was stunning, and the decor was fresh, beautiful, and impeccably clean. Ralph, the owner, went above and beyond for us. My partner had planned a surprise engagement in the nearby village, but when things fell through at the last minute, Ralph swiftly organized something truly beautiful. It was an unforgettable experience, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The food was divine, and the chef is simply incredible – a must-try! The service was exceptional as well. I can’t recommend this place enough, and we plan to relive our wonderful day here every year. A huge thank you to Ralph and Sam for making our weekend so fantastic! x

First impressions were very positive, and the George and Dragon ale was fresh and quite addictive. But the true highlight was yet to come: the dinner was simply fantastic. I started with baked camembert, followed by côte de boeuf, and our table of six shared two desserts—crème brûlée and a deliciously decadent chocolate torte with ice cream. I didn’t catch the names of all the beers, but we enjoyed a lovely red wine that was decanted and served by very attentive young staff. With a tip, our total came to what I would expect to pay per person at top London restaurants, and honestly, the meal and every aspect of this experience were on par with what I would expect in London. When the chef came out to share his background, mentioning he had worked at Nobu and The Ivy, I wasn’t surprised at all. To the team that served us so wonderfully last night: thank you! You’ve created something truly special.

The service was fabulous and the food was even better. the best pub we have in the opposite. I recommend the cream brûlée.

This little pub is absolutely amazing such a stunning place! The food is to die for even for a super fussy eater like me! So accommodating the rooms are stunning and all individual too! Ralph and his team are amazing they really couldn’t do more for us! Our hot air balloon ride for a proposal was cancelled last minute however Ralph with half an hours notice set up something stunning and unforgettable for our friend to pop the question! Definitely a place to visit and stay, was a shame to come home. Thanks guys love to you all xxx
