The staff was excellent, and the food was delicious, although two out of the four scallops were undercooked and needed an extra couple of minutes on the stove. Despite being perfectly seared on the outside, they were cold on the inside. The meal cost $45, and we did inform the server about the issue. They offered to cook a new set of scallops, but we had already waited 30 minutes for our meal. Overall, the experience was good; my wife's steak was cooked perfectly, and the corn risotto was delicious.
The young hostesses were fantastic and very friendly. We tried the hot appetizer sampler which was good, but not outstanding. Our dinner was decent, with fresh ingredients, but we felt it wasn't worth the high price. The risotto was lukewarm and the filet mignon, although perfectly cooked, was under seasoned, as were the vegetables. The lobster tail was undercooked but the staff kindly replaced it. The pasta dish was delicious and the scallops were perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was lovely, but the prices didn't seem justified by the quality of the food.
My spouse and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at this restaurant tonight and it was truly amazing. The rack of lamb entrée and the roasted garlic appetizer were both recommended to us, so we decided to try both. My spouse ordered the filet mignon and from the appetizers to the main course, cocktails, and dessert, everything was outstanding. This restaurant comes highly recommended and definitely lived up to expectations. I am tired of pretentious high-end restaurants that claim to be authentic, but Chef Mike's is the real deal and truly delivers.
We were very excited to visit Chef Mike?s, as we heard it was one of the nicest spots in Seaside Park. Unfortunately we thought it was overpriced and very mediocre. We had empty glasses that just sat on our table, and constantly had to flag our server toget their attention. We ordered several things, but the only item that we really liked and thought was unique was the CreamyCrab Bisque. My husband had the lobster special which was $60, and was nothing you could rant about. The whole experience didn?tfeel like a fine dining experience, but you pay fine dining prices. I hope this feedback helps the team, as the restaurant haspotential and is located right on the beach so you have beautiful views of the water.
No salads included at the meal times. they serve a crust roll quarter person with frozen butterballs to spread. sangria wasn't good. desserts were average. the main course for which they pay was excellent. my came as ordered. hubby wa a delivered the wrong food, so we had to wait for it and as they served it underused. they made up because of their mistake by only taking a drink to him, and they composed desserts that I thought they could do the least. it was simply unpleasant to eat alone and to observe each other, and with the high top places that are cramped and allow a lot of cash to stack when there were open table seats. I expected the outside deck to be available with heating, the holiday week for people who wanted to hang on a bar and previous reviews with entering the restaurant was very appreciated for the first time visitors. will I have gone back? yes, but if the service remained without improvement, it will be a place a scratch of my return list.
