It was okay, but not somewhere I would look to go back. Service wasn't great either. Provided for an outdoor table, where we sit on a terrace outside at 6 pm in the dark. Couldn't see food to spit out the grease we didn't want to eat.
We had to wait 25 minutes before the time for our reserved table. Then it took another 5 minutes to get water and be welcomed once sitting. We ordered drinks that lasted over 10 minutes. Overall the service was s-l-o-w! The Guacamole was ordered at the table and was delicious! A certain must-have. We had the tacos (mahi mahi, chicken and butternut squash), which were beautifully presented and excellent! Has a side of the poblano grit that were quite delicious if not a bit salty. Overall a beautiful ambience, a bit loud and dark, so-so service regarding waiting times (and no, I wasn't in a hurry), and delicious food.
Overall, my dining experience was pleasant. It was nice to see that they have started offering some items for kids, even though they do not have a kids menu. They made a delicious quesadilla for my children, and I think they should consider adding a bean burrito to their menu as well since they have the ingredients. I really enjoyed the ambiance, especially sitting on the patio on a nice day. The service was excellent during this visit. I gave them 4 stars because the food was good, but not outstanding. The empanadas were fantastic and I loved their chips, salsa, and guacamole. However, the Chorizo Porcetta was only okay. The flavor and texture were fine, but it felt like eating meatloaf and the dish needed something more, like a sauce. My wife ordered the half roasted chicken, and even though we added the recommended tortillas, the chicken was a bit dry and lacked that special touch. Next time, I will stick with the chips and tacos for a five-star visit.
Went for an early lunch during the week. It was maybe 1/2 full, but the noise level was down so we could carry on a conversation. Eric was our waiter. He was a combination of knowledge, friendliness and skill. He was attentive without being intrusive. And he introduced me to a wonderful Pinot Blanc from France.
