I ordered a bone-in steak, which was priced at an astonishing $165! It tasted fine at first, but then it developed an unpleasant odor that made it inedible. Our group also had a salad, drinks, and the total bill exceeded $300. This is far too pricey for a sports bar! I really wish we had been informed of the prices upfront—we've certainly learned our lesson."
I was happy about this place. Food, service, atmosphere. Absolutely loved the **** Mary mix they use. The place was immaculate, open and artistic. Plan it to a regular place in the area.
We ordered an Old Fashioned with Buffalo Trace (which I can buy for $25 a bottle). We watched as they poured our drink over ice, and instead of nice chunks, they used that crushed ice which diluted our drink. Honestly, it was disappointing that the owner clearly didn’t know how to make an Old Fashioned properly. What really upset us, however, was the service. We had to ask multiple times for utensils and our bill. To top it off, that small drink, which was priced at $15, came with an additional $4 charge for the Buffalo Trace. That felt like a rip-off. As I said, this was our fourth attempt to give this place a fresh start, and they didn’t rectify the issues from our previous three visits. I reminded Doug of why we kept coming back, but it seems clear that we won’t be returning again. We’re done. Enough is enough!
We hate checking Bourbon Cellar as a star, as the support of veterans is one of the reasons we decided to go. Our waitress, Tiffany, was absolutely perfect, made great drinks and could not sweeter us or a better server. But my Market Price Filet Mignon was so hard and filled with hard connective tissue I couldn't even cut it through with the generous steak knife, provided I couldn't eat it. We never sent back a fillet, but almost $40 for a very hard piece of meat was unreasonable. Tiffany called the owner after a second fillet had exactly the same problem, we finally asked him to be taken off our bill. Owner told her NO how we tried. The only reason we had kitchen a second attempt is to give them the advantage of doubt, according to their proposal of substitution, to think a fuke. But when the second fillet was as hard, we finally asked for it to be deducted from the bill and paid for pages. When the owner refused flat, we thanked our server to insure them, it was not their fault, paid for it being tilted accordingly, and left. We were simply disappointed at what a very special meal should be. In all fairness, my husband's act was acceptable. Not particularly delicate, but acceptable, definitely not filled with hard connective tissue. I think the owner has to trust his diners more. We would never have returned a file if not a reason. How could he not know. It's not funny. It was sad as it was.
Every bite was great had the pork ribs appetizer and bourbon Mac and cheese appy both amazing finally a place in Scottsdale that can make a good rib! Burger was big and juicy. Highly recommend
