I was pleasantly surprised to discover a place like this in Arizona! The ambiance inside is fantastic, filled with artwork and interesting props. It leans modern but still maintains an authentic vibe, especially with the music playing. Having traveled and lived in England before, it was amusing to be back in a British pub setting. The service was wonderful—everyone was friendly and shared stories about how the restaurant got started. The Cornish Pasty was crispy and generously filled, while the fish and chips were tasty, although they could have been a bit crispier. Most importantly, the dishes tasted authentic, reminiscent of the modern pubs I visited in London. Overall, it’s a fun place to hang out with friends and family. There’s a great outdoor area and plenty of TVs, making it a unique spot that offers a new experience compared to other restaurants in the area!

This is the best shepherd's pie I've ever tasted! The restaurant was fully renovated in 2021, giving it a bright and cheerful atmosphere. There are plenty of large flat-screen TVs, making it a paradise for Seattle Seahawks football fans. They have a fantastic selection of beverages, the staff is friendly, and the prices are great.

We've been on the hunt for a new British restaurant since the Kod Father closed, and we found a gem in The Union Jack. It was fantastic! I can't wait to explore the entire menu.

Loves the new look! Beer was just as great as ever, the hummus was delicious, the English breakfast was fantastic and the sticky truffle pudding was the perfect end to a great meal.

This took the place of the much loved Skeptical Chemyst, which seemed to be a victim of the Locksley and logistical troubles. It has remained a Seattle Seahawks fan venue and a place to catch EPL and other soccer leagues as well as featuring live music on select nights. The menu is not a extensive a it was with the Chemyst lacking some of the warmth and personality. The Union Jack does have some really pleasant surprises though, meriting it a good rating and a really pleasant time. First, the place is clean and open. Second, there are really unique UK options like gravy, HP sauces, Salad Cream and something that is very British. . . featuring really tasty Indian food to augment the standard, somewhat bland, English palate. Third, the fish in the fish and chips is huge! They make their own very flavorful tartar sauce. Fourth, my experience with the wait staff was positive. I have been a handful of times since the opening last month. The menu misses some of the great and varied options offered by the Chemyst. This is likely for economic and logistical considerations. In general, while I miss the Chemyst (one of my favorite establishments), the Union Jack has it's own charms that I have grown to enjoy.
