Nick's Italian - Scottsdale

I visited this restaurant after my husband recommended it to me, and I must say, it's one of the best Italian places I've ever been to! The food was exceptional, and the service was equally impressive. Our waitress, JJ, really did an excellent job. It was also great to see Jason, the owner, who was very friendly. The overall ambiance made for a truly five-star experience! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know—definitely a 10 out of 10!

Date night! Who doesn't love fantastic Italian food? Unfortunately, this restaurant did not deliver on that promise. I ordered the special, which was the only beef option on the menu: a Prime New York Strip served with linguini and mushrooms. It's a dish I often make at home, and it's always delicious. While cooking steak isn't particularly difficult, I know that everyone has their own preferences for how it's done. Unfortunately, my Prime New York Strip was chewy and lacked juiciness, which is usually a sign that it had been sitting under a heat lamp for too long—definitely unappetizing. This $58 steak left a lot to be desired and reflected poorly on the service as well. I really wanted to enjoy this place since it's close to home and a spot I frequent, but given the prices charged by competitors, they really need to reconsider their pricing strategy. Overall, the food here is well below average for the high prices. I would recommend finding another restaurant.

The total came to $200 for two entrees and four espresso martinis. I'm not joking—I genuinely wish I were. The food and service were fantastic, but this was probably the priciest meal I've had since dining at ARIA in Vegas. I know it was my responsibility for not checking the prices beforehand; I should have. I just didn't anticipate the bill reaching $200. Once more, the food and service were excellent, but seriously, two entrees and four martinis for $200? Enough is enough.

Haven 't been to Nick 's in years, personal reasons. Always a great place and experience good food, fair prices, great service etc . For many years our go to place! Went back to an eye opener when we learned Nick sold this location. Menu shock! Prices way out of line compared to other similar Italian restaurants. $11 for garlic bread appetizer? $12 for garden salad. Very few dishes under $20. Food is good, portions fair but prices much higher for same quality quantity as competition. Mr Brody, please review your prices since your portions are generous perhaps you can scale back a bit on quantity and prices, without giving up quality.

We really wanted to like this place! But so disappointed. The price was high for what they serve, food was subpar bland. I got the lobster ravioli for and my husband got the New York strip with linguini which was $58 and it was chewy and dry. The service was good but overall for our $140 meal including two glasses of wine we will not be coming back here. Maybe with the new management it will change.
