Max's Pizza Bistro - Scotch Plains

This restaurant serves fantastic Neapolitan cuisine! The pasta and broccoli were cooked to perfection, just like the salmon. This family-owned establishment is a hidden gem in Scotch Plains!

After reading other reviews, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We ordered the fried calamari, which seemed to be frozen and not fresh. The house salad dressing did not taste homemade and instead resembled store-bought Wishbone robust Italian dressing. The cavatelli and broccoli dish came out watery, resembling more of a soup than a pasta dish. Overall, the food was not the worst, but it definitely lacked authenticity and seemed more like inexpensive American-style Italian food.

This restaurant serves the best pizza in town. I had grown tired of pizza because other places just couldn't get it right. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted to find a place that makes such delicious pizza.

Without a doubt, the BEST sub in the area!!! We won't even begin to discuss how delicious the bread is!! Remarkable customer service, the sandwiches are jam packed with meat and $10 for a WHOLE sub that could realistically feed a family of 4! We are HOOKED!!

Wow I've been away for years and craving New York and or Philly style pizza, this quenched it! Good price and fast service
