Sotto - Scorrier United Kingdom

Sotto was probably one of the top meals of our 21 years of marriage! Definitely the best we've had in Cincinnati... And that saying something! The environment is thoroughly engaging, the service and kitchen staff were phenomenal! We opted for the 35 ounce porterhouse... and it was worth every penny and more. We went on the high recommendation of a good friend, who told us that this is one of the best dining experiences in Cincinnati. After we were done, we felt he still under sold the experience! 

I am usually a huge advocate for Sotto and normally have a great meal but this was a forgettable trip to Sotto. I started off being questioned by the hostess as if I didn't belong there when my name was clearly on their reservation list, she also put her arm out as if to stop me from walking past her. We started off getting possibly the worst old fashioned I've ever tasted, loaded with ice and no alcohol (Our table got several of them and they all tasted the same). We got the goat cheese and honey bread which was great, we also ordered the bistecca fiorentina cooked medium for our table and this steak tasted like it was cooked the previous day. Another person at our table ordered the cappellacci and also felt like it had been sitting for quite some time before being delivered to the table. I have no complaints about the service, our server was great. We were there to celebrate a birthday. Spend all this money for a subpar meal, no thanks!

Always a fabulous meal and experience. They are truly special and world class in quality and uniqueness of food. The overall consistency of their dishes every time you have the pleasure of dining at Sotto is as good as you will find.

Visited to celebrate birthdays. Made reservations 4 months ago and we were sat at the entrance of the open kitchen. So loud! Food was good, service was good also but I wouldn't plan 4 months in advance to get a reservation to go back.

Food was excellent, as always, but you don't get much for what you pay and any more it feels like they're just trying to push you through. Meaning, you have to order everything at one time so it just doesn't feel like you can go at your own pace if you're really trying to enjoy your time there. That said, it was very noisy. Not only was the music loud but there is no cushioning of the voices from other tables. Used to really enjoy coming to Sotto but probably won't go out of my way to eat here any more.
