Beignets are FABULOUS!!!! Pralines are too! Can't wait to try their actual food ? Wonderful and friendly service to top it off.
This place had some of THE BEST FISH I've ever had!! Very friendly staff Very nice location Very delicious food I can't wait to get back!!
Amazing restaurant and chef. He took his time to explain all the items to my wife and when I tell you the Jambalaya was fire, please believe me!! Flavorful, hot, fresh, everything I would think food in New Orleans would taste like. Also the beingets was fresh as all get out. They are definitely Pushing P! Me and my wife are going back today so we can take some home to KY.
Totally worth the wait. I waited a while to visit Oakley Kitchen. They day I did several restaurants were closed, I was too early. Jimmie Lou's has been on my radar. Today was the day! First off they were so friendly. Service was immediate. I had vegetarian jambalaya and a Shrimp Po boy. Let me tell you my family is from the south, I have been Blessed to have fresh seafood right from the gulf. This po boy was devine. I thought about removing the pickles but after I tasted the slightly spicy bread and butter pickles with the tomato, lettuce bread and the lightly battered shrimp I understand they were part of the experience. I did taste the jambalaya and it was very good but the sandwich had totally satisfied me. I learned they have fish fry Friday during Lent and they have fried corn with it. I'll see them again on Friday. Great experience.
