Contribuiți la feedbackI want to start off by saying I love giving good reviews- it makes me so happy to know that I am supporting a business. Leaving bad reviews is not fun for anyone and I dislike doing it. I have worked in service before. Its tough, but the customer is always right. At the same token it’s not that hard to be kind. Service industry 101 (be nice to their face and say whatever you want once they leave). I would never go her again. My expectations and experience was horrid. It is honestly such a disappointment that the Colgate Inn was closed- they have much more class. I’m not sure if they’re just use to dealing with small town drunks or college kids. Quite honestly I have no idea. I would never ever go here again in my life. It’s not classy, they’re not classy, and quite honestly its cheap. If you want an after party this trashy uneducated place is not it. Bougie experience and service is not here. You get what you pay for. I seriously hope the owner calls me, they need a lot of work. FYI a real experience is going around checking on everyone asking if their okay, guess that’s why they have a one dollar sign. If you want class this isn’t it. They monopolize on college students not getting out and understanding what classy bars and staff are. Im just glad my husband (who dedicates his life to helping people) didn’t stay, he would be mortified. If you get out and travel in life this place is a joke.i do have to say though the nicest people to me was the oweners son and the girl who stamped my hand. Also who doesn’t carry High Noons?
I just wanted to take a minute to give a shout out to the Hour Glass Bartenders and bartenders all over. Working in a bar and dealing with people like the one I’m posting about is never easy. And because there are no comments on Google Reviews, below is a review on our Facebook page, our response, and the ensuing harassment. (You can also read the review left on Google) Faith Marie doesn't recommend The Hour Glass Inc. We were here for an after party for a wedding. I wanted to play music as you only get married once the bartender was super rude to me. Very unprofessional. When you do customer service you need to be kind. Very disappointed. Faith Marie I also want to add the bigger bartender kept glaring at my dad for no reason. You're here to be in service not the other way around. Then we responded with: The Hour Glass Inc. Faith, I remember you this night. I remember you coming into the bar without your ID. I'm sorry that I couldn't let you in without it. I tried to be as nice as possible while you argued that you were there for a wedding but again, I can't let people in without a valid ID. You told me that you would have to go home for it so I patiently waited with you and your father to get your things and leave to go get your ID. Then, when you got back, I gladly served you a White Claw and a Pepsi for your dad. Many bars do not have high noon. We can not get everything that is available out there as we don't have unlimited space. As far as music goes, we have a jukebox. Music was playing so people had already put their own money in to hear the songs they wanted. You were more than welcome to play songs that you wanted to hear. Instead you tried to come behind the bar. If you ever do come back to the hour glass, you will have a much more pleasant experience if you bring your ID and behave appropriately in a bar. To which we received the following abuse from: Faith Marie The Hour Glass Inc. you're in customer service first of all. Let's get that clear, second of all I've never had a problem in the bar (have you been to college? I have a masters degree- I've been to a lot of bars. Perhaps you're the problem). All my friends and parents tried to do with you was tell you I was over 21 lol... I've talked to other people who have not had a great experience here. I'm sorry that you are so miserable with your life, but that's not my problem. You were straight up rude the whole entire time. I'm sorry that you're white trash. I'd love to see the video because I definitely don't agree... See more The rest that isn’t shown is more of the same. That my life sucks because I’m 40 and work in a bar etcShe also left a voicemail stating how it’s so easy to be nice and we should have been nicer and apparently let her drink in the bar without an ID and let her play music from her phone even though other people had played music on the jukebox. This is just one example of what it is like working in customer service. And it wasn’t that bad! We had a great night with the rest of the wedding party.

Been going there for 42 years and whenever I get to Hamilton it’s my hangout. Bartenders are always nice and the ambiance is small town friendly. The college kids are respectful as long as you are respectful of them. Music choice from the jukebox is immense. Go there and hang out.
Small place in the small town, beautiful people/residents here won't be scary unlike anyone bar. I was actually taught basics of pool table but a Colgate student
