Contribuiți la feedbackI have been there several times and it is still and interesting and innovative cooking style, very ambitious to serve that style of Food in a small City. so it`ss a good idea to have some more conventional dishes on the menu but These are also very well prepared. if the Restaurant is full - which was a rare Event in my experience the Service which is mainly provided by the owners can not Keep up with the amount of work which has to be done.
After trying this place a couple of times I have given up. It always looks like it's going to be good, and sounds alright on the menu. Then, when the dish eventually shows up (the service is leisurely to put it gently) one is left with the impression that the chef has counted out every chickpea and Jerusalem artichoke without generosity. Neither can I suss out the point of the menu or how anything is prepared. One is, rather, presented with a list of ingredients that might as well be crossword puzzle clues. On the positive side the room is attractive and the food is well presented. Maybe this will grow up to be a good restaurant. For now, it feels like a student project.
This is a small restaurant with a small menu but regular changes of the dishes. Interesting cooking style for a small restaurant in a small town which places it between the gourmet kitchen and the normal regional food you get in Schwäbisch Hall. There are similarities with asian cooking styles, kind of a fusion kitchen. The dishes are excellently cooked, the amount of food is just as it should be and there are always very good vegetarian dishes available. Also impressing for a small restaurant like thisis the excellent wine and beer selection on the menu. I think the concept deserves support and I can realy recommend this restaurant.
After being in Schwäbisch Hall for several months the visit at OHSO was the first culinary wow-experience. Finally a restaurant that respects local products and interprets those products in a new way. The décor of the restaurant, the service are in line with this idea - to-the-point, efficient and friendly. I felt properly taken care of – however the huge surprise is Simon’s innovative, simple and tasty kitchen. There are just 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts on the menu. However the choice remains difficult as there are so many interesting options. Even simple dishes like the mixed salad turn out to be full of surprises – I sticked to the vegetarian options (salads of beans ‘Schwarzaugenbohnen’ and roll from potatoes ‘Kartoffelroulade’) and have been rewarded with a bouquet of great flavors. What I found so surprising is game of flavors and textures – there is a young master in the kitchen. I hope that Simon and his team will continue to have success and delight guests in this pretty town and that I have the chance for more visits in the future.
