Contribuiți la feedbackAs for my airport experience, TSA was predictably crowded, but the line moved at a reasonable pace. I was pleased to see that the TSA personnel were in good spirits, which positively influenced the passengers going through the security checks. I only had to remove my shoes, jacket, necklace, laptop, and obsidian bracelet, placing them in either a bin, my jacket pocket, or my carry-on bag. The American Airlines gate seemed more organized and professional compared to those of other airlines I’ve flown. During the boarding process, I liked that the mobile app displayed a boarding countdown, which would have been particularly useful if I weren’t near the gate. However, the boarding process felt slow for this flight. Being in boarding group 9 made the wait seem even longer. Once onboard, I was able to relax since the flight from Chicago, Illinois to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was short. My interactions with the flight attendants were brief, consisting of the initial greeting during boarding, drink and snack service, and the farewell as we departed. Regarding the airplane interior, I appreciated the spacious seat that allowed me to adjust comfortably while seated. There was enough foot space for my military-style backpack to fit underneath the seat in front of me. Additionally, the presence of a USB and charging outlet was a huge plus, as I dislike arriving at my destination with a nearly dead phone. In conclusion, I would be more than happy to choose and recommend American Airlines to friends, family, or colleagues based on this experience. Safe travels, and blessings to all who read this review. Be kind. ALWAYS. - Thomas G
The people working at the front desk of the lounge don't know what they're doing and won't honor errors made on their part
American Airlines didn't stand up to help. We recently booked a trip to Italy on American Airlines. Turns out it was a code share flight. We were actually booked on Iberia Airlines. Trip started out okay until we got to Italy and our luggage didn't get there. Unfortunately, the lost luggage didn't show up for 5 days! We had nothing, probably not smart on our part. So,we were in Florence for 9 days and we had no clothes for 5 days. This pretty much ruined the whole trip. The only reason we got our luggage at all was I packed AirTags in each bag. I also sent updated baggage location to Iberia airlines 2x per day. Here's where it got interesting.. Paid $4400.00 for th 2 round trip tickets The seats were upgraded to premium economy. American washed there hands of the entire situation. Offered no help. Told us to call Iberia. Iberia said they had nothing to do with this matter because Iberia partnered with American! Then they denied any responsibility and pushed it off to Vueling airlines By the way Vueling was a good airline. Very efficient and ran on time. We got to Italy and got back safely. Just a couple of details that about our luggage that no one seemed to care about. The best thing I learned from this was. Investing in the AirTags was probably the only way we got our luggage back. I have special dietary restrictions, so meal reservations take priority when flying. I have two complaints re this matter. 1. Due to faulty and misleading wording/information stated on website re meal reservation for flights, we are all wasting time. When contacting live reps, we are given inconsistent information. See below for reference: Site AND app state, in this exact wording: You can reserve a meal beginning 30 days (and up to 24 hours before your flight. Available within 30 days of departure EVERY time Ive come across this issue, Im told its not available to reserve yet, even though its been 30 or less days prior to flight. Web techies could save us (and AA reps time by adjusting this information to read less misleadingly. Idea: You can reserve a meal up to 24 hours before your flight. (In select cases, this option may be available as early as 30 or less days before departure. Ive contacted them several times about this over the years. Nothing has changed. 2.They never have vegan options, only vegetarian. Most reps seem to not know the difference between the two. When I have had to speak with one over the phone, many times, Im given attitude, as if Im simply being picky and a nuisance. Veganism is more than just a diet it 's an entire lifestyle, much like religious restrictions, such as kosher. I wonder if religious restrictions are given the same impatient attitude. I doubt it. Whats the problem with people who arent vegan getting so threatened with veganism? Im not preaching to them or trying to convert! Live and let live with respect. Solution: provide vegan options. Again, multiple times requests on this. No change. AA doesnt actually care about individuals, only their money.
AA is an excellent airline for our travel needs! They are the only airline operating in and out of FSM, and they offer a great selection of direct and nonstop flights from XNA.
