Contribuiți la feedbackI was in so many restaurants in the Capital District and the meal we had in Field Notes was one of the not the best meals I had. The setting is very intimate and the pairings were phenomenal. When you show up, you are in the store for a tailor-made meal that does not produce mass, but reminds of a home cooked meal. Because the environment is so intimate, you will find the conversation with other guests who are refreshing and entertaining. Would highly recommend the experience.
This is a wonderful, unique experience. Thank you for a great evening with food, entertainment, everything on Lansing Farm.
My wife and I have squeezed the last two Sundays here and we have loved our experience so far! The staff is pleasant and friendly and even remembers us during our second visit. The food is excellent and inexpensive. I commented about the junk and the cook was nice enough to sit down and talk about her recipe with me. We come back to brunch every Sunday!
If you try to run a restaurant/cafe then do this. Field instructions not. This place was advertised as a farm to the table and is near so man and I decided to try the breakfast at a beautiful August morning. They are only open Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings. Whatever, that's good. Do what you can do. You don't. They open at 10 a.m., we came at 11 a.m. together with enough other parties to fill the small case. A few others before us. We ordered within 10 minutes, but it took 20 for our coffee and ice tea to arrive. Then the orange juice came. There is a waitress for the 35 or so capacity audience. It is thin, but very pleasant. It took 30 minutes to get our food. My husband had 2 fried eggs, a very small portion of scrap (1.5 square), and similar size piece hash browns. His toast was really not roasted. My brioche was actually 2 small slices of Limp-Französich-Toast with little taste and a teaspoon of strawberry jam and yogurt. Not appetizing. My recommendation is that they actually serve better food in larger quantities and rent another waitress. The other 5 stars? Must be relatives. It was a nice idea, badly executed. We won't be back.
Quite possibly the best breakfast/brunch I?ve had in my life. The eggs, hash, toast and sausage were as fresh and flavorful as can be imagined and all served in a relaxing, comfortable, beautiful setting. The farm staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make the experience special. After you eat, you can also grab fresh produce, meats, eggs, sauces and more from the farm store on site. I cannot recommend coming here strongly enough.
