Pilot Pete's - Schaumburg

I always have a wonderful experience here. I tend to forget to collect my points when using my card, and I wish the waitstaff would remind me when they bring the check. The food is fantastic—fresh and generously portioned. We absolutely love the lobster nachos appetizer. I had the chicken parmesan, my niece ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich, and my friend chose the coconut shrimp tacos. None of us were disappointed, and we all ended up taking food home! The service is consistently excellent as well. We sat outside and enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

I visited with my family, and it was a great experience watching the planes take off and land at the airport with my kids. They really enjoyed it! Although there wasn't a fish fry option on the kids' menu, the staff was very accommodating. My eldest son, who rarely eats seafood, asked to have the same meal as the family. The portions were generous, making our plates look delicious and ready to be devoured. The sight of those fish pieces, including my kids', was delightful, and I appreciated that the restaurant cares about keeping their customers happy. My husband and oldest son managed to finish their plates, though they thought about ordering smaller portions next time – they didn’t want to leave feeling overly stuffed! The soup was excellent too. My younger kids polished off their meals and shared a bowl of soup. My husband and kids also loved the soda, remarking on how nicely carbonated it was. We skipped dessert since we were already full. The staff was friendly, especially our waitress, and the restrooms were clean. I liked the waiting area with airplane seats; it was a fun experience for the kids. However, I noticed that the seats and surrounding area didn’t seem to have been cleaned during our visit, so I hope they wipe them down regularly, as kids love to touch and play in them. Overall, this is definitely a place worth trying at least once. The picture of the fish and fries shows a kids’ portion, while the adult serving is much larger and includes fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, and either soup or salad.

This wasn't our first visit to this restaurant. Last Sunday, my wife and I, along with another couple, decided to return. Despite the place being quite busy, we were seated immediately. Our server was a lovely young woman who was very pleasant to talk to. We placed our drink and food orders afterwards. My wife and I opted for the chicken tender platter, while our friends chose the ribs. We all enjoyed our meals, as well as the view of planes coming and going from our window seats. I gave it 4 stars because not everything was served hot; it seemed like some dishes were ready before others, so they arrived slightly lukewarm. There were plenty of leftovers for us to take home. We will definitely be back!

Let me start off by saying the food was great, the service was on the other hand the worst service I?ve ever had. Me being Hispanic the waiters would seem to ignore us. They didn?t even bring us silverware, straws or napkins we had to ask for themmultiple times we had Christina as our waitress and she was rude and completely dismissed us when it came to service. You couldtell the difference in service compared with other tables. We sat in one of the tables by the front near the ?old phone booth?and they moved us to the back to a small table. I asked to speak to a manager he/she never came . Was there for about 45 minutesand decided to leave before even finishing our food . If your white this is definitely a great place to eat but if you?reHispanic or any other shade I?d completely stay away from dining in you?ll be the difference in service right away.

The food and drinks here are absolutely delicious! It's great to watch the aircraft and even a helicopter. The location down by the airport lobby and the hangars is lovely. The staff gave our eldest daughter a toy plane and allowed us to take some photos with it inside a plane, which was a nice touch. There's also a really unique party room at the top. Overall, we received great and friendly service.
