Finn Mccool’s Irish Sports Pub

This restaurant really should not be listed on this website! It is by far the worst place I've ever been to in terms of service, food, and atmosphere. Our waitress forgot to put in our order and seemed unconcerned about it. When our food finally arrived, there was no acknowledgment. The Reuben was terrible—the cheese was mozzarella instead of Swiss. Seriously?! We live in Wisconsin, where we can find much better Reubens. We also have superior Irish pubs. I would never, ever recommend this restaurant.

The food was quite tasty, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, but unfortunately, our service was lacking. The waitress dropped our drinks on the corner of the table without saying anything and walked away. Items listed on the menu that were supposed to accompany our meals were missing. We had to go to the bar to ask for silverware and napkins. When our food arrived, the waitress placed it on the corner of the table and waited for us to serve ourselves. She checked on us only once during the 30 minutes after we were served and didn't bring the items we requested. There were probably around 20 customers in the restaurant while we were there, yet she seemed preoccupied with what looked like a conversation outside with the manager. I don’t like to leave negative reviews, and I hope this was just an off night for her or something.

We came across this hidden gem while walking to catch the streetcar to the French Quarter. We decided to stop for some food and a few beers. The burgers were incredible, and they have a great selection of beers. Over the three days we kept returning, we met Jules and Sean, and we had a fantastic time chatting with both of them. The atmosphere is wonderful, and I highly recommend this place!
