The Coachman Inn - Scarborough

Looking at previous reviews, I can not believe what my husband and I have just eaten. The food was horrid . The so-called restaurant was more like a bus stop cafe. At first, I thought it was closed. We really should have turned around and left ,but the waitress caught us and asked if we wanted a table. Having been several times before, everything has always been very nice . I can not understand why the service, the food, and the ambience were so poor . We both had chicken liver pate, which was bland with a little bit of chutney on the side and a piece of chunky bread . Main course my husband had a seafood casserole which smelt burnt . He ate the fish out of it . It was supposed to come with chips but they never arrived . I had the fishcakes . I ate half of one and the other half and another full one I wrapped up and threw it in the bin as we left I know we should have complained ,but honestly, when other people on other tables are having a nice time chatting with friends , there is nothing worse than a complainer to dampen the evening .From start to finish was less than an hour Never again We literally could not wait to get out .I really do not know what else to say . I'm still in shock.

We were staying on a local campsite and decided to try here for tea. They were extremely accommodating finding a suitable table for myself, my partner, our toddler and dog. Very friendly customer service and the food was incredible. My partner said it was the best meal he has ever had (chicken lamb Turkish kebab). If we lived closer we would certainly be back soon. Thank you!

Visiting my brother in Snainton, he recommended a walk to The Coachman for dinner, certainly wasn't disappointed with that recommendation. The smallish bar was busy buzzing when we arrived, which is always a good sign on a midweek night, the welcome from the staff was really friendly. Ordered a couple of pints from the choice of three or four real ales that they had on pump, then sat outside at one of the numerous tables to relax choose food. A good range of options, including some Turkish dishes as something different from the norm. Not cheap, but based on the quality quantity of food that we experienced two excellent burgers a lamb kebab it was decent value. Service good aswell. A good spot, would definitely return recommend!

Went for Sunday lunch 23 June . Excellent service and food was fabulous. All the staff were very helpful. Sarah Tia and Emma especially. Can recommend this to anybody.

The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch, with friendly and efficient staff ensuring everything was perfect for us. The only downside was that the meals, while delicious, were a bit too large. This could potentially impact profits and lead to food waste. Nonetheless, I highly recommend 'The Coachman Inn' to anyone looking for a great meal in a lovely setting.
