Bonneys - Scarborough

This is not just your average tea shop - you must give it a try, as I don't believe you will be disappointed! Located in the heart of town, with very little traffic.

When I stay in Scarborough, I usually avoid hotel breakfasts because the sausages often taste like sawdust. However, my oldest friend Shirl and I decided to have breakfast at a restaurant there. We ordered smoked salmon on toast and the full English breakfast, both of which were excellent and accompanied by exceptional service. I was able to swap out some items in the full English breakfast for hash browns without any issues. I requested a strong cup of tea and they even added an extra tea bag to my pot, which I appreciated. The cost of the full English breakfast was comparable to what I would have paid for breakfast at my hotel, but the quality was likely much better. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, clean restrooms, and overall, we had a great experience. I would definitely return.

The food is enjoyable and reasonably priced. Suitable for a peaceful lunch. The interior is a little outdated. The service is pleasant and friendly.

Went here for a full English to set us up for a bit of walking along the seafront. The breakfast was ample and quite delicious. Plates were hot and that is always a bonus and service was friendly and efficient. Coffee was freshly brewed. Would highly recommend a visit.
