Tak Fu Dim Sum Emperor - Scarborough

This is an excellent dim sum restaurant. I would rate it 4.5 stars compared to other dim sum spots in the area. We ordered a generous amount for our group, and the food was served quickly. Everything we tried was delicious, and we ended up ordering additional portions of the fried squid tentacles and the large deep-fried shrimp dumplings. Other dishes, like the pork steamed buns, pork ribs, siu mai, pork sticky rice, and chicken feet, were also tasty. However, unlike some other places, they charged for tea here, which was a bit surprising. The prices are typical for this type of cuisine, and the service was decent.

This restaurant is quite popular, but we didn’t have to wait long to be seated (for three people). The staff was exceptionally friendly, even though we didn’t share a common language. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the Dim Sum was served in a traditional style. I left feeling satisfied and happy! I would definitely return!

Parking: There’s plenty of parking available, so it shouldn’t be an issue.

This is an excellent dim sum restaurant in Scarborough that has a comfortable atmosphere, not too crowded and unlike a typical banquet hall. The food is expertly seasoned—not overly salty, greasy, or sweet. Although it might be pricier than some other places, the quality and flavors definitely justify the cost!

If you find yourself nearby, this modest dim sum restaurant is well worth a visit! Every dish we tried was fresh, and the Siu Mai (steamed pork dumplings) are served with a whole shrimp on top. The deep-fried squid tentacles are done without batter, letting you savor the delicious taste of the squid fully. While their menu may not be as extensive as some other dim sum spots, they feature most of the classic dishes. I was a little disappointed, however, that they didn’t have egg tarts on the menu.
