Contribuiți la feedbackMy first time here and I must say the decor absolutely reminds me of the Izakaya's and restaurants that I have been to in Japan...very bright, colorful and vibrant. The service was super friendly, very attentive and quick. Now let's get to the fish.....it was absolutely amazing!! The fish was sooo fresh and was served at the perfect temperature and the rice was excellently seasoned and together it was absolutely delicious!! Star of the show was the uni.....so yummy and creamy! Yes this place is very expensive but if you don't like quality then go somewhere else otherwise you must try this place out. This has to be one of my favorites in Toronto!! Enjoy.
First time at kin kin, we ordered the sashimi, sushi table combo B. The sashimi tasted fresh and sweet There?s a good selection of Sashimi including uni, lobster, and various fish. (It was a little too much , I?d suggest ordering a bowl of rice on the side) Sushi came with good portions. This meal was good enough for two people.
The food quality is exceptional, but the prices are definitely on the higher side. They offer an extensive selection of sashimi and don, which might leave you pondering what to choose for quite a while. We ordered a lobster don, a haru bento box, and a uni tray, which turned out to be a bit too much for just two people. It would have been perfect if we had skipped the uni. I suggest ordering a few items to start and then deciding if you need more later. The space is quite small, but the atmosphere is pleasant. The service was fantastic; I have no complaints. It's a good idea to make reservations in advance; we booked ours through a direct message on Instagram, and the process was very smooth with a quick response.
Just be prepared for the strong smell of fish when you walk in. The menu primarily focuses on raw fish and doesn’t include rolls or cooked dishes, although today's special did offer a couple of hot pot options (beef or seafood). This place isn’t really kid-friendly since they can't enjoy raw fish. The interior has a quirky vibe that makes for some fun photos, giving you the feel of a roadside izakaya in Japan. Overall, if you can overlook the drawbacks, it’s a unique dining experience!
I'm thrilled they have expanded! The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh, with a variety of options to choose from. The restaurant's decor truly transports you to Japan. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food is outstanding.
