Hot Thai House - Scarborough

I was very disappointed with my visit to Hot Thai House. The Marshal Spicy Chicken was quite disappointing; the chicken appeared to be over-fried, resulting in a dry, tough texture. The sauce, advertised as extremely spicy, barely had any heat to it and was overwhelmingly salty instead. Given the name of the restaurant, I expected at least a moderate level of spiciness and a more enjoyable dish. I also noticed another couple expressing concern about whether the Cashew Chicken would be too spicy for them, which suggests that the restaurant may have the impression that diners here can't handle spicy foods.

I really love this place; the food is fantastic. My only suggestion would be to add a wider variety of dishes and avoid using the same gravy base for everything on the menu.

I absolutely love this place! Everything is just perfect here— from the prices to the service and the atmosphere. More people should visit; you definitely won’t regret it!

Good food, good price. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Very distinct difference in portions among people ordering the same dish however.

Only the red curry and the hot noodle soup were gluten-free. I ordered the red curry and it turned out pretty good. The curry was slightly watery, but the taste and the amount were above average. The prices were also very friendly. Will definitely go back!
