Gyu Hito Japanese Bbq - Scarborough

Great comfort food Korean place. Staff was very friendly. The food was very rich in depth of flavour and not overwhelming. The meal felt like I was eating in Korea. The kimchi suited my palette really well.

Restaurant was super clean with lovely decor. Surprisingly it has 2 floors! Service was quick and impeccable! Our food orders came right away and servers are very attentive. I like how some tables are much longer to accommodate bigger party sizes and more dishes but even with that, all their tables have only 1 grill. If you're going with a party of more than 4, you probably won't be eatting as much since you'll all be waiting and sharing that 1 grill. The price on a weekend for dinner is $40.99. They add auto gratuity of 12%, which isn't too bad. They also have 5% off discount if you pay with cash. They offer great meat quality and cuts but they lack in marinades. There is a vast array of hot dishes and appetizers. I'd highly recommend the Shrimp Tempura, Chicken Karaage and Pickled Cucumbers! Crème Brûlée was good but not as good as Gyubee. The texture reminded me more of flan when it should have a smooth consistency, similar to yogurt.

Was here the other day for my birthday, we usually head to another place down the road but the wait was over 2 hours so we decided to head somewhere new. Glad we did, the decor here is outstanding, tables and seating and very spacious Guybee where they pack you in like sardines in a can and place ugly plastic see through curtains between tables. The cooktop burners here are actually clean and cook perfectly even as well not one sided like other place. The dipping sauce is great with also the option of a sesame sauce not found elsewhere... The meats are fresh but not as seasoned as I'm used to and the bibimbap rice is a bit on the sweet side for my taste, kids loved the bigger selections of dessert and ice cream.. And the host was very friendly and accommodating.. He also mentioned they are in the process of expanding the menu! We will definitely be coming back

Beautiful interior and seating, probably the best out of all the Japanese BBQ restaurants in the GTA. The seating is spacious from other tables. The meat and pork quality is fantastic with great seasoning and flavour. The side dishes with the exception of the bimibap is not at the same level as the meat as they were just okay. They seemed a bit understaff the night we came as the service was not as attentive but it did pick up at the end of the night, a big shout out to our server (who unfortunately I did not get the name of) but he was awesome! Highly recommend reserving ahead of time as it was a 40 minute wait for Saturday.

Great AYCE place! We had the lunch menu and the selection was solid. Could have more variety but the items that were on it were quality for AYCE. Best bite was 100% the beef tongue, and honestly no worst bite as everything else was great too. Servers was attentive and the interior was really aesthetic. Would come back again!
