Ace's Place Bar Grill Hub - Scarborough

I enjoy the food here. As others have mentioned, there is no other place to go in this neighborhood. The menu is small and badly laid out, hard to read. The service can be slow. There is a vibe given of self-importance that does not belong in the hospitality industry. Also, on more than one occasion, I heard the tale of how she went to the UK and that is where she got the inspiration for the menu but so many good British meals are excluded! Buying a restaurant does not make one a restauranteur.

Have been several times,solid family fare. Menu changes rare, always plenty of food. Service spotty help warned sign often up. Great desserts, insufficient staff.Bottom line fine neighbourhood food stop

I have lived in England and this reminds me of a lovely British pub. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is warm and the facilities are clean…and the food is brilliant!!! Order the manicotti and enjoy the little bluffs pub ????

What an amazing atmosphere inside this restaurant!! Stunning neighbourhood, great environment, delicious food, excellent service and 100% satisfaction. It of course made us feel at home!! This was my second visit. I was fortunate to meet the owner of the restaurant too. What an amazing person!! I'd dearly cherish his friendship, and will visit this beautiful restaurant many more times!!

When I called to make a reservation I was told there was a live music event that would end at 7 PM. We don't like loud music while eating - and trying to talk - so we didn't arrive till 7.08 only to find that the music was continuing and she thought it would stop soon. We decided to give it a try and were given a table in the back of this small restaurant. After ordering our food we decided to take our meal home and when we left at 7.43 the music was still booming. My main issue is we were told the music would end at 7 and if we had known it would continue past that time we would have gone to a different restaurant. The food - fish chips and liver - was excellent!
