We have been wanting to try Gusto Artisan Food Market since we moved to Sayulita in 2015. After seeing an ad for Gusto's 2x1 Large Pizzas for $199 pesos in the local newsletter, El Sayulero, we decided to try an alternative to our old standby for pizza, Pizza Ron. Gusto is conveniently located on the east side of the central plaza in Sayulita so I decided to pickup two pizzas for carry-out.The waitress quickly took my order and let me know it would be ready in about 20 minutes. She also let me know it would $22 extra pesos for the pizza box. The special didn't state whether it was only for dine-in or carry-out so I agreed to the extra charge. The pizza arrived about 30 minutes later. Every large pizza I can remember ranged from 14 inches at artisan pizza shops to 16 inches at the big chains. These were not large pizzas at 12 inches. Maybe medium size. The pizza taste was average to above average. The thin crust was crunchy. The sauce was a decent red sauce, and the cheese tasted like authentic Italian mozzarella. The pepperoni was tasty, but sparse. The mushroom pizza was much the same. If you don't mind smaller artisan pizzas, try Gusto's this June while they are on special. If I was to order a large pizza at full price $199 pesos, I would have been very disappointed. But given the 2x1 special I laughed when I opened the first box and saw the size of the pizza. My wife shortly came home and also laughed. I now understood how they could offer 2 "large" pizzas for $199 pesos.

This place is amazing! Me and my husband have been on vacation for 10 days and this is the best meal we've had yet! It beats all the Italian restaurants in Los Angeles by miles! Yum yum yum!

Estuvimos cenando alli por casualidad: la dueña ni pestañò en recibirnos a pesar de la hora tarde. La comida estaba deliciosa, el trato super y la cuenta conforme. El chef italiano (como yo) supo sorprendernos con platos ricos. 100% aprobado

La comida y la atención son únicas y los alimentos no son la excepción, cuando vengan a sayulita no dejen de visitar este lugar, vale mucho la pena.
