Contribuiți la feedbackThe only regret about this place is the fact that we didn’t know about it until a day before we were leaving. We highly recommend this place, as we would have gone more than once if we had known about it. I had the Sopes and my husband had the Chili Con Carne. We had two young boys who ordered the Belgian waffle (still made with blue corn) and the blue corn quesadilla (which my picky 3yr old enjoyed). The proceeds go to a non-profit foundation that supports the Huichol Center for Cultural survival. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Probably one of the best meals we had in Sayulita.
I am still dreaming of Blue Corn Mama. I went 5 times in my last visit. :) The food is amazing--some of the best I've had traveling anywhere! I'd recommend pretty much everything on the menu--I tried most of it! But especially the chilaquiles and blue corn pancakes. But I think what really makes it special are the people who work there and that it is a non-profit that helps support the Huichol Center for Cultural Survival and the Traditional Arts. For me, the best part of traveling is meeting and connecting to people and even though I was just in town for a short time, I felt like everyone at Blue Corn Mama were so authentically kind and dedicated to their work. It's a special place and a must-visit. Can't wait until I can go back!
We have now been to the best restaurant in town! The staff are all very friendly and just to make it even better, it's a non-profit that gives ALL its proceeds to help the indigenous tribe knows as the Huichol. After you enjoy an absolutely delicious meal and great service, stroll into the gallery next door. You will be overwhelmed by the beautiful artwork and crafts. It is next to impossible to not become emotional after a visit to Blue Corn Mama!! Please don't make the mistake of letting this one pass you by!
Look no further, really! this is the best breakfast you will have in Sayulita hands down! Traditional-Mexican cuisine but tourist friendly (not hot nor spicy)! Ask for the piña colada blue corn pancakes and cafe de olla!! The bes is that eating here you're supporting a native mexican community grow through an Anthropologist's foundation!!
I highly recommend having any of their dishes. It's my favorite place to eat there. Everything that I tried was amazing, from the Soupe to the blue corn Pancakes.
