The Hillside Tavern Grill - Sayner

Great food and service. Hadn't been here in several years but it is one of the few places open on Monday so we gave it a go. This time we were here on our anniversary for drinks and dinner. I wasn't very hungry (especially after eating my **** Mary garnishes) so I got the soup and salad bar. Greens were dark and fresh-no watery iceberg lettuce in sight. Pasta salads, potato salad, pickled beets were all fresh and tasty. Italian wedding soup equally good and authentic. Spouse had the Cuban. It was HUGE. He could only eat half. Server asked if he wanted a box but since we are tent camping he said no. Server offered to wrap in foil- good idea. We are looking forward to reheating it on the grill for lunchtomorrow. Half split between the two of us will still be enough for lunch. We highly recommend the Hillside. Only downside is that while we arrived there relatively (about 6), it got pretty noisy as the restaurant filled up.

Cozy place. Good service. Pizza is incredible. Great location. Generally good food, and really nice forested surroundings. Did I mention the phenomenal Pizza? Oh, and the pizza is great, too.

I absolutely love this place! Chef Kelly is fantastic! Every time I'm in the area, I make it a point to visit on Friday nights. The food and atmosphere are perfect! Be sure to call ahead for a reservation!

We were camping nearby and brought our dog along, so we were looking for a pet-friendly place to eat. Hillside Tavern was extremely welcoming to our pup, and everyone there gave him plenty of love! The patio is pet-friendly, which was exactly what we needed. Plus, the food was fantastic, making it a win-win for everyone!

The food was delicious! You can choose to sit outside on a beautiful deck while enjoying a drink. We had the Cuban sandwich, and it was outstanding.
