The King's Head - Sawston

We had a great stay in the king’s head, in the opposite to the birthday of a friend. we were in one of the stable rooms in the back garden and it was exactly what we needed; spacious and clean with a comfortable bed, fluffy towels, a super hot shower area to hang their clothes. we were really impressed for the price and with a large water cooker available, tea, coffee and milk we were very comfortable. the breakfast next morning was excellent with a lot of options and the super friendly staff went out of the way to get me as a vegan; in museli and soy milk above all to get and cook mushrooms and tomates separately without butter. if they have dietary requirements, they simply call them in advance and they will be happy to sort them out. we will definitely stay back when we are close. 10/10

A lovely pub with friendly staff and customers. The accommodation is clean warm and comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone. Very well located for the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.

Ignore any older comments about the rooms. We booked to stay here (2 adults, 1 child and a dog) and the rooms had clearly been recently refurbished. Beds were comfy, shower was clean and worked great, couldn't fault the room whatsoever. Didn't eat or drink in the pub, but very much enjoyed our breakfasts the next morning. Owners were lovely too. Would definitely recommend

This is a fantastic place to spend a night. As someone who works away from home, it was just what I needed. The staff is excellent, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The breakfast was delicious and offered great value for money. I enjoyed a few beers and had some nice conversations with the locals at the bar. However, if you're someone who is only interested in a trendy aesthetic, this might not be the right fit for you—perhaps spend five times as much elsewhere. But if you appreciate the genuine experience, this place is a gem.
