First time here will definitely be going back. Lovely building full of nostalgia. Friendly and helpful staff. Decided on something to eat, and the menu read so well. Can definitely recommend the steak and kidney steam pudding and the southern fried chicken burger. Both superb and just being able to taste the homemade goodness of it all. Marvellous. Also being able to watch the chef work was a bonus, as was him personally delivering my dessert, which was a warm Victoria sponge.. Which again I'd highly recommend. Food made me feel sick Was lots of food, but even more grease. I am literally struggling to write this review due to the amount of grease on my phone and fingers. Customer service could be improved. Would be nice if staff smiled and interacted with customers. Server was nice, but spoke to me once and had to repeat herself three times to be heard. Cheap beers though, so can’t complain!
