Cafe Rantakivi - Savonlinna

The food at this restaurant was outstanding, made with locally sourced fresh ingredients. We savored dishes like fish and chicken. The service was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home.

This roadside cafe has a fantastic location and the food is incredible. It feels like dining at a high-end city restaurant but without the high prices. The Vendace (small fried fish) is especially delicious and it's no surprise that they always have a steady stream of customers.

While the location is excellent, the food does not provide good value for the price. The staff lacks expertise and provides poor and unfriendly service. Additionally, they show ignorance towards following Covid recommendations.

We got a recommendation for this place with high hopes and expectations. Visited this nicely located cafe 18th of July 2021. The middle aged lady to take care of the clients did not have any customer frienly behavior very arrogant attitude indeed. Please experience. Secondly, food was okeish and somewhat overpriced. Young gyus (summer workers? from the kitchen were smoking in the front door. So, like in Turkey... The beef hasn 't got enough heat...it was really pale . Finally, when we left the restaurant this before mentioned lady took two coffees in the bill we did not drink. And some other errors too. So, I quicly calculated that if they invoice 10 eur more extra and if every day they do this for multiple clients...so it easily could mean hundreds of euros...

Very nice place with nice views to lake. Food was good and service was good. Price to food quality was ok but price of water was not good because it was not even bottled. Recommned to eat Vendaces.
