Il Pastificio Riv.9 - Savona

This is kind of a combo place with a typical coffee bar/tobacco shop on one side and restaurant on the other. The food on the restaurant side is good and they have dishes that suit a variety of tastes. Their coffee is excellent too. But what makes this place so great is the staff; they are friendly and helpful. Jastin and Tamara are always on their game. As a foreigner in a part of the country that isn't necessarily known for its hospitality, everyone who works here is helpful and welcoming. Moreover, they have some English speakers among them who helped me with the language barrier. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable while having an enjoyable experience. Bonus: the place has pretty much a full bar and the young bartender, Luca, is highly skilled at making incredible cocktails. A lot of the drinks on their menu are his own inventions, or his take on the classics. I highly recommend you pay him a visit and ask him to craft you a cocktail with your spirit of choice. I visited time and again during my stay just for the atmosphere and the drinks alone. Highly recommend.

If you want to stop in the heart of Savona you have to stop at Riv.9, aperitifs well served with very friendly and nice guys... cool environment, beautiful music... top Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
