Contribuiți la feedbackI tried the pomfret thali and the prawns thali. They were good, but there are better places nearby that offer tastier dishes and better value for money. The pomfret thali cost 360 rupees with bhakri, and the prawns thali was 300 rupees. The prawns masala was not fried pieces, and the solkadi was good. The bill did not have a breakdown of the items, just a total amount. The restaurant maintained good hygiene, but the toilets were just okay. Parking is available across the road, but you have to pay for it. Overall, the experience was good, but not worth the hype.
This is probably one of the better places to eat in, considering this is a small town, for travellers and tourists. We had the fish thali, which did the job adequately. One grouse I had is that the thali does not have enough variety—for example, the fish thali had no vegetables, which would have made for a nice change of taste.
Though waiting time for dinner was approx 40 minutes and we waited so long. But there was actually no option, as we were referred by some local and also took walk for approx 25 minutes, after registering at the restaurant for queue. We ordered north Indian vegetable food, which was amazingly tasty. Services were also extremely good prompt. Rates were reasonable. Yes Parking was across the road and paid. But it may be considered positive point, from vehicle's safety point of view and proximity to restaurant, considering restaurant is small and situated in tourist town.
I recently visited this restaurant for dinner. It is a traditional restaurant with a standard menu. I ordered the surmai thali, which was tasty but had fewer items and no sol curry. The prices are reasonable, but it may be more suitable for a summer afternoon lunch. The restaurant is located slightly off the main road, so you may need to pay for parking across the street.
The long wait in line and the reviews caused us to wait for nearly 45 minutes, which would have been acceptable if the food and service were good. However, the food quality was very poor. The fish fry was half cooked and there were leftover pieces of chicken in the curry. The portion sizes were also very small. The waiters were in a rush and we had to call them multiple times. While some people may have had a good experience, we did not. It might happen to you as well, so be cautious. Despite this isolated bad experience, we had a good time overall in town.
