The Melting Pot - Savannah

Came here as a first time guest and was not satisfied with the service. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation and wasn’t seated until 15 minutes later. As I stated before it was our first time here and we picked here for the “experience” more so the food but was still disappointed. When we asked questions about fondue styles and just different questions about the menu we never got a straight answer, it was always “it’s up to you” like that helped any. The best thing about the menu were the drinks (non alcoholic) but the thing that got me the most was when we asked for the dessert and the ticket (to go of course because the service was not genuine) and we did not feel welcomed or talked to and informed as other guest around us. She said “it’ll take about 5 minutes to bag up your order” well 16 minutes went by and she brought the check, the total was 186 but because we only had big bills I put $200 and was going to tip once the ticket came back. that was no problem at all. the problem came when she sat down the check after cashing us out, WITHOUT OUR DESERT but said “I’ll just sit this down if you want to leave something there” for one, where is my change? For two it’s been 20 minutes, no dessert to go is out but you cashed out and asking for more money. Just because my mom is a server I tipped 18% but I’m still upset about the service and everyone who saw my pictures of the food online and asked about dinning here I let know not to go and it wasn’t worth the experience at all. I found it weird that none of our food was seasoned like in the pictures, the server did not want to explain or answer any questions, she would not give us our food without paying first and even then when she came back and asked for the tip without or food. I don’t know if we are a young African American couple and was stereotyped or labeled but this was a never again type of situation. Not even worth the money and I never usually leave reviews on websites just through my foodie vlog of me traveling trying new places but this is something I can’t get over. NEVER AGAIN. if I could give 0 stars I would.

Dinner was excellent!! We had the bigger bigger for 4 though there were only 3 restaurants. Not sure if I could choose a favorite. Everything was fresh and delicious. It was a great experience and will be back soon!

My oldest son took me here to celebrate my birthday!!! Service and food were spectacular! We came too late for our reservation because of unexpected traffic, but we called to inform the staff. The staff was so understanding and gave us a little more time to get there. That was super nice of them to do for us. Thank you for making my birthday party a wonderful!!!

We are blessed to serve Jessie every time we are here. We are from Charleston, and make the shirt trip to Savannah special for the food in this The Melting Pot. The atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date. I can only evaluate Jessie because he is the only person we hosted for our last trips; my SO and I were engaged here and we spend our anniversaries here. Jessie is an excellent host, funny and pleasant to be around servers, great mixologist and times serves with the greatest know-how. This will continue to be our date target as long as we or this facility exist.

My husband and I go to the 4-course dinner here about once a year and we always have a great time. The experience is fun and the food is delicious. The owner is usually in the restaurant and was always very nice to us. It is pricier than some other places, but you also pay for the experience and ambience we enjoy. The Flaming Turtle Chocolate Fondue is always the highlight for me, and their Blackberry Sage Lemonade is delicious.
