The Mad Hatter's Kitchen

Had a great visit to this lovely location. The food was nice and the service was great. We would definitely recommend a visit. We will be going back again before we head home.

Have been here on several occasions mainly for the Sunday lunch but we have dined at other times. Always find the staff. very polite and helpful and the food excellent. I have read some negative reviews but whoever wrote them didn’t in my opinion do their homework. We never expected to find a restaurant like those in a city high street we got an old farmhouse with chickens running around the courtyard and the usual farm dog running after them. Old bit of machinery lying about and the odd abondoned car or tractor. The dining room has all different size of tables all with different tablecloths. To me all adds to the ambiance of the place. Allow 4 hours for your Sunday lunch as it might take that long and soak up the French countryside with locals and visitors alike. Make yourself at home and you will be well looked after. So what if your carrots weren’t aldente but rest assured your beef or lamb will be to perfection! I will be back again for sure!

So surprised to find such a cool hotel. Owners were fantastic, food was amazing, room was absolutely beautiful.

If you love sunday lunches then come to the mad hatters if you love relaxed atmospheres then come to the mad hatters. We ate here on Friday night and were back for sunday lunch today, Charlotte makes everything from scratch including pastry for the pies we had on Friday night. Today was a full roast with a jug of gravy which I would happily have in a bowl as a meal its own. If you live here as we do then then come to the mad hatters if you visiting then come to the mad hatters

Had a lovely Sunday dinner. Both my husband and I are vegetarian I know in France, what are we thinking.. Lol.. and they were very accommodating in adapting their Sunday lunch for us. The starters had a variety of vegetarian options but they also adapted one of the chicken dishes to a veggie version for me as I fancied this particular starter. We had a pichet of rose wine and that was lovely too.. The staff, who I presume were the owners, made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely come back here again and would highly recommend this establishment.
