Wendell's Country - Sautee Nacoochee

A must!!! Such a cute little place. The staff was so sweet and the food is yummy... good country soul food. May sound silly but my kiddos chocolate milk was hmmmm. Hmmmm. Good! My omelette was packed and delicious. Definitely made fresh!

OMG! we waited almost an hour a substandard breakfast that I could have fixed better at home.

After a 35 minute wait, we were told by it would take over an hour for us to get food. Ridiculous.

Wonderful for breakfast We stopped here for breakfast after camping out at Unicoi. It had been a long rainy night and we needed biscuits and coffee! I had the biscuits with gravy and fried chicken. The chicken was fabulous. My grandmother would have approved. Moist flavorful but not salty or greasy. The biscuits are very good. (I prefer my grandmothers but I'm just spoiled that way). The gravy was good. My daughter had biscuits and gravy with a generous portion of sausage over it and she loved it. They were serving lunch while we were there and it looked and smelled awesome! They had several delicious looking sides and I could certainly eat more fried chicken! We will definitely come back here! The restaurant is small and probably wouldn't be great for parties over 8 people. It is well lit comfortable and clean. The ladies running it are super polite and friendly. The menu is a little limited but what they have is good. I am told that they have wonderful desserts but was far too full to even consider dessert!

Basic breakfast and really good. Lots of choices from sausage gravy to omelette. Everything tasted fresh and they do make it to order. Not much else to comment on here. A solid stop for breakfast with a very friendly staff.
