South Meats North Bbq - Sauk Centre

We weren’t quite sure what to expect pulling into the parking lot but we took a chance. Staff were friendly and the food was great. We had a couple of sandwiches and it was a pile of meat and enough tots for three. I got the Hog Wild and it was very good.

My husband and and I stopped during a road trip from Minneapolis to Fargo in Sauk Centre. We were in the mood for some barbecue and were intrigued by the restaurant’s name (South MEATS North BBQ) and close location off I-94. It was a little difficult finding the restaurant since there wasn’t much signage, but after we found it we were happy with the service and the food was excellent for the price. My husband had the Hog Wild platter requesting it without bread. I had a pulled pork barbecue sandwich with coleslaw and onion rings. The portions were very generous and extra sauce was available at the table. Highly recommend this stop for locals or those like us who were passing through!

Dine in services great. Take out services also great. I’ve also hired their food truck to cater in for employee appreciation. It is so easy to walk in or order online/text message and they are very quick to respond. I know my work team enjoys going here for lunch break and my husband I enjoy coming here for date nights. It’s a great spot!

That was my first time I visited this place. I'll be back in a moment. the prices are reasonable and eating is good. the service is super friendly and helpful. I recommend this place for anyone looking for good BBQ food.

Start page boiled bbq with a great price. her bbq has taste and is not dry. super friendly staff and owner. they do not benefit from the food.
