This is a decent McDonald's location. They still tend to serve in order of first come, first served, which means those who just want a coffee have to wait for those with large meals and multiple item orders if they arrived first. It boggles my mind that instead of staff standing idly waiting on food to be cooked and processed that they are not permitted to clear out only the beverage orders. This would clear up the backlog and log jam of folks stuck waiting for a simple beverage order. Why McDonald's trains their staff as they do is beyond my scope of comprehension. Get the fast orders out of the way first while waiting on larger orders to be prepared. It is not rocket science. Also, why is it that staff who prepare food are not required to wear disposable gloves and hairnets?! This is shocking to one who has worked in the hospitality industry and who is married to a now retired chef. When I witnessed a line cook picking up food with ungloved hands, it made my stomach churn. Bacteria and viruses aside, it is gross. The above comments apply to most McDonald's that I go to which is why I try to stay with just ordering coffee. Owen Sound Port Elgin Orangeville Shelburne All of them seem to have this same peculiar way of training their staff. Like I said typical McDonald's.
