Contribuiți la feedbackI'll give this restaurant a 4 star review. We chose this place for a quick dinner one evening based on the trip advisor ratings which we use frequently. Coming from Ontario, we try to go out to places with our family in Saskatoon each visit, to try a different restaurant. We can say that we were not disappointed with the Spring Roll. The restaurant is an understated little place on 33rd Street. If you are expecting an elegant Asian bistro with authentic decor, this place is not for you. However, its cozy, clean and feels like a neighbourhood place. You get a good feeling just walking in.With about 10 tables in the small neighbourhood restaurant, we made a reservation on a Saturday night. Arriving at about 6 pm there was a group of 7 girls and a table with two guys at, when we arrived, and the rest of the restaurant was empty, however we noticed a steady stream of take out orders going out the door. We asked the waiter who was very friendly and courteous what some of the more popular Viet/Asian dishes they offered. They had a number of specials for the evening, with everything being very reasonably priced. They quickly told us about "#55" which was an array of meats over vermicelli in a bowl. We then asked about appetizers and the recommended the fresh rolls, the deep fried spring rolls and the pan fried shrimp. All came quickly, and were tasty, fresh and delicious. We added Singapore noodles, and pork lo mein, as well as ginger beef. The noodle dishes were very tasty, and the ginger beef was crunchy and delicious. All came out hot, fresh and better than expected. The #55 we ordered was the only dish that some of us didn't care for that much, because the meats seemed to be a little overdone and included most things we had as appetizers, and was put on a bowl of disinteresting noodles with no tasty sauce as we expected, other than a generic fish sauce on the side. We found it quite plain, but others in our partly liked it. We would order pretty much everything except the #55 again if it was just me and my wife eating. Overall this was a great experience in a little neighbourhood restaurant which over delivered in service, food quality and taste. Very impressive for Saskatoon and highly recommended.
Always great food, reasonably priced and friendly service. We always prefer local family businesses rather than chains as a much nicer atmosphere and love to support them whenever we can.
We ordered a small hot and sour soup and a pork noodle bowl special; received a won ton soup and a beef/pork bowl...I called the restaurant as we picked it up, they offered to make the correct order but I wasn't going to go back to pick up so we just kept it..... food was super great!! Very flavourful and fresh! Will be going back!
My wife and I eat here at least once a week, very busy at lunch time. The food is outstanding , very fresh and tasty.Try the # 1 noodle bowl special - it's great with a large portion for only $5.95Family owned and operated - good service and very friendly
This was our go to spot when my Fiancè and I were living in the city (like almost once a week!). We have since moved but we were in the city again this weekend and we had to stop in one last time. As we were leaving we told them how much we have loved their restaurant but sadly this may be our last visit. To our surprise, they gave us our entire meal for free as a farewell!!!! We were floored! Thank you so much for your wonderful food and family service! It will be hard to find another Chinese restaurant as wonderful as Spring Roll!
