I have been here once. Service was very friendly. Atmosphere is a bit awkward though, the room is so cavernous. Food is okay, but I much prefer Spicy Bite and Black Pepper for both take-out and buffet.
Butter chicken tasted good but was oily. Very little chicken in it which was a let down. Their rice tasted great but what I loved the most was chick peas and Naan bread.
The best Indian food in Saskatoon! The buffet is amazing and great value, and the servers are lovely. I've only been a few times and the waitress recognized me and welcomed me back. This restaurant has quickly become a favourite of mine and every friend I take there. Be prepared to stuff yourself full, best to go with an empty stomach!
I go to the Desi Dhaba a few times a month to feed my insatiable craving for Indian food. What the restaurant lacks in ambience it recovers in the quality of the delicious food and the friendliness of the service. I'm not a big fan of buffets, so I always try to order off the menu. The samosa chaat is right off this planet. It will knock your friggin socks off. The malai kofta is incredible. Saag paneer is great. Don't forget to pick up some sweets, their gulab jamuns are always a crowd pleaser. I could eat twenty five of them.
