The food was good, but the service was not up to par. We pulled up for the drive-thru at 9:30 pm.
We tried their pizza and it was delicious especially with the Flying Squirrel Raspberry Beer. I was totally impressed with the selection and our waitress didn't keep interrupting us but serm to show up exactly when we needed her. I highly recommend this restaurant. A real hidden gem. Check it out for yourself!
We were in town for a visit and friends recommended we try one of their favourite places for dinner and drinks. The restaurant offers a wide variety of pizzas and tapas and we took advantage of both. The Great Goat Caper pizza was awesome with wonderful flavours and light crust. The four of us shared a number of different tapas- our favourites were the chorizo dates, the spanish cod fritters, and the beef empanadas- each with their own different and remarkable flavours. This is not a sit and eat fast food restaurant as North Americans are accustomed to, you sit, you eat, you drink, and enjoy the time with friends while sharing the wonderful food. Awesome experience and hope to go back when we visit Sarnia next time.
Showed up on a busy Friday night for dinner and drinks. Place could use some updating but I've eaten at worse places. Takes about 5 mins to be seated, not a big deal. But once seated it took 20 mins before my fiancee flagged someone down to help us. She replied that she doesn't even work there and that she was just helping out and asked us "what do we want" I ask if we could have a drink menu or wine list and she said they dont have any. Okay well can we get some wine (red) and some water. She got the wine but not the water and took our food order. The people beside us were sitting arms crossed and not talking much. After a while of watching food die at the window (we were seated near the kitchen) I watched our "waitress" who was helping out grab her things and head out the front door with a friend of hers I suppose. I said to my fiancee I guess we're serving ourselves. The people next to us had no food had said they were waiting an hour and a half. Thats crazy and the place was thinning out quick and it wasn't even 7 pm yet. I kept a lookout for our appetizers to hit the window and when they did I got up and got them ourselves as well as two plates. Now for some good news, the bacon wrapped dates (yes sounds weird) were actually pretty damn awesome, we really enjoyed them. Now back to the negative, we have someone from the kitchen staff come up to us and apologize our pizza would be out in another 15 mins as they just got the order in. We'd been there about an hour and 10 mins maybe already. We were fine with this as it was becoming entertaining, it was like being on an episode of Bar Rescue where there place is a complete failure. So 15 minutes later our pizza arrived, and again the food really was very good!! I so badly want to give the place another try because of the food, but when I went to pay my bill it was 55$ for a 1/2 litre of wine a small appetizer and medium pizza. I'm sorry but that's nuts. I can't ever remember leaving no tip for staff, I mean you have to be pretty terrible to get 15% but in this case with no real waiter I gave my first zero tip. I won't be back to this establishment unless they get some new management. Witnessing who I told was the owner operator, either she doesn't care about her business or is just incompetent. I suspect its both with the majority of her feeling being that she doesn't care. What a shame because the food was really good. I'd give one star if it wasn't for the food.
