Once you pass by the friendly locals (who are all harmless, by the way), you will find a fantastic restaurant. It may be located on the outskirts of town, but the food is top-notch in the north! They offer a $5 lunch special that can't be beat and their beer prices are some of the best in Sarnia. Give this place a try!
A number of restaurants in Sarnia claim to have the best fish and chips, so we decided to put them to the test. Unfortunately, it was not the best we had tried. Two of us ordered the fish and chips, only to find out it was pollock - not what we were expecting. Another person in our group ordered the deep-fried shrimp, which was also disappointing. However, I decided to try the Texas burger and found it to be really good. The service was fast and friendly in this small, local restaurant, which had two billiard tables, multiple tables, and a long bar where many locals were gathered. The only issue arose when it came time to pay, as they only accepted cash and had a conveniently placed ATM that charged an additional fee. We will continue our search for the best fish and chips in Sarnia, as this restaurant did not meet our expectations.
The batter on the fish was just the way it should be, light and crisp! And the fries were pretty good too. The dinner came with cole slaw which was fresh and just fine. The service was great as well. It was a pool league...evening and I ordered because I had a piece of my buddies fish and liked it. The two piece portion was nice and thick so I could actually taste the fish was was just fine.
