I've been there a few times, the cakes are absolutely beautiful, I've tried the cloby lamb rosmarin. the chicken, asparagus cheese is also really nice, but my favorite is the slowly cooked, smokey smoky bbq brisket cake. probably one of the most beautiful cakes I have eaten in Australia. destined to visit when they travel through sarina
We stopped by for a piece of cake and a sausage roll while passing through Sarina. We had a deliciously simple cake and a tasty sausage roll. It was absolutely delightful and we had a lovely time. The place was bustling with activity during lunchtime. They had a great selection of sweet treats and sandwiches/rolls. The staff was friendly, the shop was clean, and the service was quick. The prices were reasonable as well.
The beef roller was tasteless, dry like a bone and pastries. The cloby beef cake at $6.80 (if I remember correctly) was strange. Yes, it had a few pieces of meat in the sticky engraving, but the flavor gland and the very dark brown color from the plaster. Try something else or better not disturb you.
Don't judge this restaurant by its appearance from the outside, and make sure to arrive early. We came around 12:30 and many of their cakes were already sold out. I tried the lamb dish and was pleasantly surprised – it had plenty of meat, well-balanced flavors, and delicious pastries. This place is definitely worth a visit.
