Hǎi さくら Xiā Yí Hǎi＆ミチマロ

An Instagram hotspot, and unfortunately no more than that. The food quality was just okay in Hokkaido standards, but the service I received was poor. I was told that the place was full and probably should wait for 30-40 min. The server sounded like she didn’t want me there, but I still waited and was able to get in within 10 minutes or so. Surprise! I wouldn’t visit again to be honest. There are many other good options in Sapporo.

The restaurant is close to JR Sapporo station. We been there at lunch time. You need a pocket wifi! When you order your food, you should use your smartphone. However, cheerful and kindness associates helps you.The seafood tower tastes normal but photogenic and you can chage the flavor such as dip egg source or rice with Dasi soup. We enjoyed the meal with fun!

My last meal in Hokkaido this summer, on a rainy deserted Sunday night in central Sapporo and what a great choice! The food was fantastic from seafood (sushi with mountain wasabi and octopus grilled on a stone in front of you) to lamb to huge (but still tender and tasty) mushroom tempura. The staff were friendly and helpful they took my assault on the Japanese language with good humour, and spoke enough English to work through the nuances of the specials menu and chat about my time in Hokkaido. Great place and a great way to end my trip.

A great place for Hokkaido seafood dinner. The look of the food itself was interesting and fun. The staff were so friendly although they couldn’t speak English, they tried their best to explain the menu to foreign guests. We could have a tower of fresh seafood. Worth to visit. Also they have a cute menu.
