We had lunch there and I have to admit that we had a wonderful centollo like massive crab), lenguado, Almejas, Coruxu. The food it's fresh, service average. I think price should be cheaper at least 15% as it's unreasonable higher than average price area
A Illa is hidden on a side road, a bit from the sea and it does not have a seaside view. So you will not find many tourist there (I like that). A Illa specialises in seafood but of course there's more in the menu. We tried steamed mussels, octopus in Galician style (pulpo a la Gallega) plus croquettes with jamon and fried padron peppers. Cannot say a bad word about food as everything we ordered was very tasty. Local was filling up as we were having dinner and some guests seemed to visit that place regularly as they were ordering even without looking into menu. So definetely a good sign. The place was lacking the lively ambience of big cities dineries and as a consequence seemed bit more formal. Anyway, it was a very good culinary experience. Our bill came to roughly 25 euros. Good value.
Estuvimos en agosto en las vacaciones un par de noches y la verdad que la comida estaba buena, calidad/precio correcta. El inconveniente es que tardan bastante en servirte.
Buena atención y productos muy buenos como la preparación.
