Lauda Oia - Santorini

Our waiter was phenomenal and eating lived until the hype. Maybe the best meal I ever had, as well as service. can't hype it enough. it's a must, that's worth it.

Are they aware? only one tasting menu was offered at €155 per person for a 3-course meal and much more, almost twice for 6 curs and 9 curs tasting. many of the offered entrées were for additional €55-€75 more per person. we were clogged, as open tables only showed a traditional menu. now we are made of $500, after one of the cheapest bottle wein in the menu and a waiter who insisted that we have nothing the same and my men started. there are many beautiful restaurants that have the same view as louda, but have an honest menu. be ready for about 80 steps down.

The menu on this app does not see what was offered in person. eating was very disgusting. I would literally prefer mcdonalds or a gyro 100x than what we have. the presentation was quite, but the taste of the food, piece size price were one way. very bad. do not recommend to go there.

My family of 4 went to Lauda on our last night in Santorini. We were all disappointed. We all had the 6 course tasting menu and 3 of us had the cocktail pairings. The service was good, not great. The waitstaff forgot my sons drink and had to be reminded. They forgot to bring one of his 6 courses entirely. We decided not to even bother asking for it because it wasn’t very good anyway and we wanted to see if they noticed when clearing three plates instead of four, they did not notice. The staff offered shawls when the weather got cooler to some women and not to others. Every entree except the main and one other had flower tendrils, small amounts of caviar or both. It made a lovely presentation but it got boring. Every cocktail had flowers, fruit or herbs. It was all just too much. Maybe it just wasn’t our thing. The food wasn’t as good as I had expected for the $1,400 USD tab (before gratuity). I had expected to be wowed with every course and was not. The dessert was very good. Having lived in NYC for 10 years, I have enjoyed amazing food and this just wasn’t up to the hype for our family. The ambiance was lovely.

Had an amazing time at Lauda! The lamb course was the best lamb we have ever had. I appreciated all the vegetables incorporated in each course. The meal was delicious, the staff was superb, and we would definitely rank it as one of the nicest dinners we’ve been to. Would recommend to anyone visiting Santorini.
