Contribuiți la feedbackWe went with some friends and what a treat, service was excellent, the waiters even the cooks came spoke to us, the food was delicious, we ate black rice with monkfish, tbone steak and other dishes I can't remember, and each one was delicious. By the time desserts came we were quite full so whilst we did choose two to share and weren't too sure about how much we'd liked them the truth is the plates left the table empty, so they were obviously tasty. Whilst it wasn't the cheapest and probably not for everyone we loved it.
The Chefs seemed to be in their early 30s but they seemed happy that they're busy, with food preparations, customer interactions and restaurant activity . The food creations were explicit as it portrays something new in presentation, your palette would make you recall the comfort of home cooked food and much more. The servings are just right for tasting as it is a degustation menu for sharing. The ingredients were fresh from the vegetables to seafood and other produce. Restaurant setting has a good vibe that it can make everyone too jolly that they would need to improve on acoustic control. Otherwise its a great restaurant to go out on a date, try something new and a place you can go to and venture on your own
We had walked past this restaurant a few times not realising how different this place was. We live in Galicia and we find that most restaurants are all the same great food but all the same menu, prepared very plainly, so we are always on the lookout for something different. The decor inside was modern without being intimidatingly so and, although fully booked, there was a nice atmosphere and not loud. This leads on to a glass conservatory where a large party was eating and then out to a garden. There is a distinct shortage of restaurants and bars with gardens and so this was one of the reasons we came here. We ordered the fried mixed fish platter starter to share which arrived on skewers on a shaped block of wood. Very easy to eat and the hake in particular was very tasty. I then had a de boned ox tail which was just the right size. It was nicely tender with a rich sauce. My husband had a pork 'joint ' which he really enjoyed. As we only wanted a glass of white with the fish and a glass of red with the main course we let the waiter choose and we were very happy with his choice. We finished with a banana rum dessert served with ice cream. Very pleasant but couldn 't taste the rum. We then went into the garden to have our coffee. It was very relaxing and, even though they close at 4.30, they are quite happy if you want to stay in the garden till 6 or half past! All in all we were very happy. We only had one thing that was a bit annoying the Galician people have very healthy appetites and if they don 't like a restaurant, it will be because the servings are too 'small '. Visitors tend to have much smaller appetites and, as we are Londoners, the waiter took it upon himself to try and talk us out of what we had ordered, saying he thought it would be too much for us. He was quite adamant about it, hmmm. The main meal for most tourists is in the evening but, as we live here, our main meal is at lunch time like the rest of Galicia. So we stuck to our guns and the amount of food was just right for someone who has a medium appetite. However, the result of this was that we spent half our meal talking about it. It hasn 't put us off going back as we realise his thinking behind it. One of the owners came out and thanked us for coming and we will go back.
