So good that we came back on the last day of our holiday no other restaurant we tried in between came close. The restaurant might have had a revamp and might now be called Bellota but it is the obvious restaurant at the top of the road up from the beach. Part of the Tui Blue hotel the restaurant doesn’t seem to market itself much to non residents. The food was really excellent. Truly outstanding presentation and flavours verging towards a fine dining experience at quite modest prices. Lastly, the staff were very helpful and very friendly. 5* all round, can’t fault the place in any way.
We were offered a tapas meal from our hotel Rocomar next door. Super meal with lots of different plates ending with a lovely steak.
We'd spent time at nearby Cala Gran and as we walked up the hill towards the town centre noticed this restaurant on the left advertising 2 coffees and cake for euro5 so decided to give it a try. Although the deal cakes on offer were not to our liking we decided to stay anyway and enjoy a light lunch. Our orders were taken by the friendly waitress but it took a while for food to arrive as there were only two staff out front to take orders, clear tables, serve drinks and food so were a bit rushed off their feet not a problem for us as it's a nice spot to people watch and relax in the sun (there's a roller sun shade for when the sun arrives directly overhead). We had a mixture of hot and cold drinks plus cake, open baguette, gazpacho soup and hamburger, along with olive/bread/dip accompaniments all came to just over a reasonable euro36. There are clean(ish) toilets to right of the bar counter.
