Watercolor Beach Club

It has everything you need, quality food, several pools, private beach, bicycles, proximity to downtown, beach bar, just everything in one place. Beach is clean, rooms are great, complimentary valet parking, staff is awesome.

The pool manager was extremely rude and condescending, showing a lack of respect for both adults and children. He removed all the umbrellas because of the wind, despite the fact that the heat index was 123 degrees, making shade essential. One woman suffered a heatstroke, and instead of helping her, he treated her as if she were simply intoxicated, not realizing that she actually had a heart condition. The family behind us expressed that they would never come back. As homeowners in the community, our family found this experience to be quite disappointing.

However, the beach setup was a major letdown and really affected our time at the beach. To be fair, the beach setups are shown on the website, but you don’t think much about them when booking. The arrangement felt more like stadium seating or an airplane layout, offering absolutely no privacy for conversations since everything was so close together. I would recommend skipping the beach setup and opting to walk to the public area instead. Additionally, the beach staff often seemed preoccupied with their phones. They made resort guests wait until 9 AM to set up, even when there was a long line of over 50 people waiting at 8 AM, which is not the kind of service you’d expect at a resort. The beach chairs were arranged in three rows with no space between them, making it difficult to even walk to the water.

If you are wanting to stay in Watercolor and have all of its amenities, but don't need a big house this is a wonderful option! The staff are friendly and attentive, the amenities are wonderful, and the rooms are clean and spacious.

I found the experience didn't quite match the price. The beach club isn’t exclusively for resort members, and the lazy river is located off the resort property, requiring a drive to get there. This wasn’t the resort experience I was hoping for. There were no towels available at the beach, and our room wasn’t cleaned on the second day. We requested turndown service, but despite confirming with the daytime cleaning staff that we would wait, they never returned. We made sure to leave the room, but the service skipped us completely. Navigating to the beach club from our floor was confusing, and the staff there were unhelpful. While the location and ocean views were stunning, I expected a more comprehensive resort experience based on the advertising. Instead, it felt more like just a place to stay with access to the beach.
