Contribuiți la feedbackI ordered a Grande Pike Place regular coffee with just a splash of cream and no sugar, but I couldn't believe how bland and watered down it was. It tasted even worse than coffee from Burger King. Feeling the need for more caffeine to kickstart my day, I stopped by Safeway to buy something else. I then returned to the café for a 50-cent refill and offered my cup for reuse. However, a different staff member was there and asked if I had purchased my coffee that day. When I responded affirmatively, I felt like I was being challenged about my right to a refill. They seemed suspicious, as if I might have reused a cup from a previous purchase. After confirming that I had bought the coffee that same day at that location, I was then asked for my receipt. I had to dig it out of my pocket and present it for inspection. It was scrutinized carefully before they finally approved my refill. The receipt showed I had made a purchase less than thirty minutes earlier at that very café. I couldn't help but wonder if I was being judged like someone who had taken a cup from a trash can just to get a cheap refill.
The staff was unprepared during my visit. The oven wasn't ready for customers, and I had to wait a long time for my egg bites, only to receive them in a less-than-ideal state. When I asked for proper packaging for travel, I was told that was all they had. It felt like they didn't care about their job or ensuring that customers left satisfied. I was quite disappointed, especially since I didn't want to end up with cold eggs.
I want Starbucks management to understand that having 8-10 people working in such a small space is not conducive to effective training. It was incredibly loud, making it hard for anyone to hear drink orders, and I'm fairly certain it violated some fire codes. Moreover, trainers need to practice patience and support. They should uplift their new recruits when they make mistakes to instill the confidence needed to succeed, rather than breaking them down in moments of frustration. There are plenty of resources outlining the top qualities of successful trainers, and I can guarantee that making an employee cry is not one of them. Therefore, I urge Starbucks Corporate Training to revisit their training methods or consider retraining their trainers.
Always enjoy treating myself to my favorite drink ?
