Mercado Santa Monica

I found hair in my food, and although they acknowledged it, they didn't remove the charge from my bill. However, they did offer me a replacement meal, which was very good.

One of my new favorite restaurants! I visited twice last month.

We had a great time in a fun and vibrant atmosphere, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We savored carne asada, fish tacos, carnitas tamales, and steak tacos—everything was delicious. The flan made for a perfect ending to our meal. I wish I could recall our server's name; he was very friendly and attentive. Although we were just passing through, I hope to return one day and explore the mercado more closely!

Normally we have a great experience in mercado, but we would never recommend to go for someone here on nye. we have a reservation for 9 watches for 2 people thought it would be a perfect place to get a big meal and a few margaritas before they go to home to celebrate the new year. we sat right away and had a really nice server waiting for us. at no time we were told that they were closed at 10 o'clock and there was a last call for drinks soon after sitting. we felt hurried throughout the evening and at the order of a second round of drinks was told to me that I will see whether they are accepted by the bar (again, no mention of a last call ever.) we always order the carnitas, but they were so done with the steak. it was unfortunately inconspicuous and very cheesy. Unfortunately we are so disappointed by this experience as we often visit this point at least 1 2 in the month and it is in the rule a favorit of us. we talked to the manager and he was courteous, but the situation let us be disappointed about our choice, nye dinner here. I'm honest, they just wanted to close and come out before midnight, but didn't communicate with their guests who sit an hour before their regular closing time. because the tables are so close to each other in the restaurant, both couples on both sides of us also shared their frustrations about the service and the lack of communication. I hope that was a unique experience, because we plan to go back in a normal night. I highly recommend the carnitas, elote and the mercado margarita these are in the rule a safe thing!

The Mahi Mahi was perfect. Sadly, the rice was undercooked and cold, and the veggies were cold. However, the guacamole was great. The Mercado margarita was great. So, overall, we had a nice time. Will be back to try Happy Hour
