Contribuiți la feedbackThe seafood soup is the best food I have eaten in Colombia! The waiter was also a top dude and had a great criminal! A clear consent from me. We're almost over and are glad we didn't do it!
Rated as No. 7 in Santa Marta for seafood and not disappointed. The fried whole fish was delicious and super generous in the Porton. The host was really friendly and spoke with limited English, but he did his best to welcome us in his restaurant. It was a nice meal. The address is Calle 10c. The map on the Tripadvisor shows a place elsewhere, so just check if you are in the right place.
The service is excellent and has air conditioning. The owners and staff bend backwards to make sure everything is great. Seafood is the main thing. Santa Marta is not NY, so don't expect NY quality. But for Santa Marta this is the place for a traditional seafood meal.
Solo/female traveller/25 years I was just in town for one night and wanted to eat in a local restaurant. After searching for Tripadviser I came across Merka Restaurant and was very satisfied with the food and service. It is a family-run restaurant and the owner was very friendly and took time to talk to me. Charlie (workers) was also very friendly and helpful. Would everyone recommend pampering in a local experience in Santa Marta!
It is located straight across the street from our hostel, Casa Familiar. Very big portions of food and drink. I had the Desayuno Tipico and it had a beef steak, eggs, onion and tomato scramble, some sort of corn bread. Delicious! Good service too.
