Contribuiți la feedbackHidden in a narrow stone alleyway winding up a staircase, is a small intimate bakery, the last vestige of small town Liguria in a town increasingly overrun by high end wine bars and boutique eateries. There you will find the affable Gio, from behind his wood oven baking moist, olive oil infused focaccias using fresh local ingredients. And if your taste runs to the sweet, his confections are simple but inspired, using locally harvested nuts. The selection will vary depending on his inspiration, all of them mouth watering. All this for only a couple of euros a slice. The interior is small and spartan small cheap plastic tables surrounded by a couple of cracked park benches. But one does not come here for the atmosphere. One comes here for the best focaccia and sweets in all Liguria. And if one is lucky, Gio himself may regal you with tales of small town Liguria, as he wistfully looks behind the small window at the town he grew up in. Gio could have been a Michellin starred chef in another life. But he prefers to bake his fresh focaccias from his wood oven, his dreams and memories of childhood Liguria inspiring him to create new baked delights
Really good focaccia, a lot of special types, in a charming street from the center. I noticed it only because I was admiring the buildings and was looking up, because it is really a hidden gem on a narrow street going up the hill! Really must try this place when in santa margherita
Everything was delicious and the owner and his wife were super friendly!! Recommended for sure!!!!!!
Very nice place, simple but really good.. a slice of focaccia and many tips from Alejandro for best sightseeing.. adorable..
Yes creata means small street in Genoa dialect and the location on the stairs far from the crowd is itself a must. The onion Focaccia was very good and it is cheap
